extra crank when starting
 

Hi everyone, I know this post is about a very minor or not even an issue, I just want to get someone else's opinion on this. My 2013 BRZ sometimes takes and extra crank when starting (crank 1) compared to the second video clip (crank 2)

Does anyone know what might be causing this? This happens randomly, even warm or cold starts. thank you! :) cheers and happy holidays

hey, not all of us can just get up and go on a moments notice anymore!

some of us take a little more motivation to get going!

I'd be more worried about that rod knock.

Thats not rod knock. I think I was holding something at that time and dropped it when I was recording it.

I actually heard that sound. :D

You can artificially lenghten the crank starting the engine with the accelerator pedal floored, and as soon as you release it it will start regularly
You can use this to circulate oil during a dump/refill.. or everyday in the morning like I do

Think of it as foreplay.

Only if your hand is on the shifter.

sometimes you gotta use the right words

Gently slide your hand down the steering wheel working your way to the center.

If that don't work, it pretty clear that it's not you, it's her, but she'd like to stay friends

There's always the "twin" sister.
The younger cousins are also an option.
