DIY cosmetic modification.
 

One of the first things I did when I got my car is get under it with a can of flat black high heat paint and paint the muffler and tailpipes. That way all you see is the exhaust tips from behind. Really don't like seeing the muffler hanging out from underneath. Makes it a bit less noticeable.
