Ultramarine cosmetics

Been thinking about a couple cosmetic mods on my Ultramarine FR-S. First one is having the brake calipers painted. I initially thought a matched blue would be nice, but getting the color matched properly in a heat-resistant paint is nearly impossible. I think red would look pretty good (if maybe not AS good.)

I'm also thinking about having the logos painted. A simple flat black would make it even more subtle. I've seen some people do this with Toyota emblems, but I think I'll stick to Scion. Anyone done something similar?

Brake calipers are going to get painted on mine, too. I had the same dilemna over red and blue, but came to the opposite decision. Blue for me, even if it isn't an exact match.

I like the chrome logos/emblems, and have decided to go with bright silver wheels to match them.

The other thing I'm debating is a set of offset white racing stripes, driver's side.

I was thinking red calipers to match the interiors red accents. Gold will work as well. Maybe I'll go gold with gold emblems as a proud scion owner.

How difficult would it be to paint a small Subaru Pleiades emblem on a caliper? I always wanted to do a solid color and then try using a stencil to do something like this...

If you guys want to checkout my photo albums on my username. I painted my calipers red to match my car. If you are gonna do this I suggest G2 caliper paint. They can custom match colors and it actually forms a better bond with the caliper than other paint I have used in the past. If this stuff chips they will replace the paint they sent u. It works VERY well, and u don't have to remove the calipers.

Sounds like the G2 custom paint is exactly what I'd want! Thanks!

One of my co-workers has a blue '03 civic. The color is very similar to ultramarine, and he did his calipers in body color. I'm not really stuck on it. It doesn't look bad, just not quite "right". For my personal taste, if they're going to be painted, it's either red or black. Red if you want to accent and black if you want 'em to disappear. Red calipers might help the red accents on the seats (in a blue car) make sense. Black is kind of stealthy and low-key (I like that approach).
