will 215/65r16 with 1" lift fit?

I have some 16" forester wheels an i want to put A/T tires on, but it seems you need at least a 65 sidewall ratio.

Will a 215/65r16 fit? I also have a 1" lift kit to install.

FWIW, my winter tires are 205/60/16, and I am lowered 1", and I have no rubbing.
I think you'll be fine, but I also just really want to see it once it's done.

215/60r16 definitely does as that's what I am running. I have read 215/65r16 does with some rubbing. On my particular setup the closest point of contact is the mudflaps in the front wheel well at full lock. I am lifted over 1" tho as i have the TRD rally coils and shocks but I think its only about 5/8" more. Without the rally armor flaps there would be another 3/8" of clearance there.

Depends on wheel offset, if they are sucked in quite far, they will fit with slight rubbing in the front. If they are out or flush, they will rub bad. I think 16x7+50 will fit 215/65/16 with slight rubbing, like the Sparco Terra.

I'm on stock suspension, and clearance issue isn't the height, but the front and rear fender liner/ rear metal behind the liner of the front wheels. I can barley fit 215/60/16 with slight rubbing on 16x7+30 Method MR502 Rally which is flush with fender. I want to fit 215/65/16 but i will have to persuade the rear side of the front fender liner with heat gun and possibly hammer if there is metal behind to make them fit.

I'm currently stock suspension, but I'm ready to put on 1" spacers/1.5" rear alignment kit and .5" lift springs in combination with Bilstein B6 shocks and Whiteline Rear LCA, but i'm waiting on the RCE Rally X springs currently in development. I've got Chuhatsu Plus Multiroad Lift Springs as backups.

Yokohama Geolandar has 215/60/16 All Terrain, although they are a bit more expensive than 215/65/16.

The image below is of the front wheel rear fender liner, and that is where you will rub first. Wheel currently on in image is 16x7+30 215/55/16, and 215/60/16 will rub slightly without heat gun molding. I might have to get a steering limiter kit to fit 215/65/16 on these wheels.
