Its hard to hear in the vid. Is it a high pitched oscillating noise?

impopo 12-18-2021 09:06 PM

i would say so.. i have about 600 miles so far

impopo 12-18-2021 09:20 PM

What do you think whats causing the noise?? Thanks

Might be a bad bearing on your blower...

sounds like it'd be better diagnosed by a dealer under warranty

I think its just how the blower sounds.

I'm finding in general these cars just have a lot of mechanical sounds... my HVAC blower sounds like this, or can even develop a bit of a "whoop-whoop-whoop" sound depending on what system it's running.

The engine has ticking and even a bit of a squealing noise (from the injectors and/or fuel pump) at idle, the transmission has a solid "clunk" when you put it in first or second, the boxer has it's own special noises... I'm someone that's hyper aware of all these sounds as well, but I think it's just part of the car and something to get use to :)

Now, I finally know why they added the speaker for the fake engine noise... to drown out all the other noises.

I have this noise too. I think it has something to do with the idle engine speed, because once you rev the engine a bit, noise goes away. If you also shut the car off, the noise seems to get slower as the engine is shutting down until engine off and noise is gone

It sounds like crickets 2.0. But more like a bird.

Think it could be the fuel pump? If you open the door and put you head under the car, or even under the hood, can you hear any sound with the same sort of oscillation?

Since it doesn't change with AC use, I'd wager a dealer will chock it up to normal operation and just the vent design unfortunately picking up a random noise and funneling it into the cabin.

This was my first thought as well. I get the same noise from my car when the ac and fans are all off. I can only hear it at idle, sometimes. I'd bet it's the HPFP doing it's thing.

I'm not planning a dealer trip over it, but by all means if someone does I'd be interested to hear what they say.

I have a high pitched noise too that I only noticed after disabling the fake engine noise. I’m guessing that it’s the blower like other people said in this thread. It only goes away if I turn the fan off, it’s still there even if the A/C is on or off.
