Myself, Dave-Ror and 2 other BRZ owning buddy's are all racing the Bell Racing Sebring Sevens ChampCar Endurance Series race at Sebring International Raceway this weekend! Since there is no F1, spend some time and watch us, LOL. Unfortunately we don't run an 86 (yet), but look for our car, the Team Lazy #151 Honda Civic in Class A.

It's not pretty, and we finished building the car Wednesday but we expect to be competitive and finish both 7-Hour races.

Coverage starts at 8:40am each morning (Sat & Sun) and the green flag drops at 9:00AM

Live coverage on You Tube here:
https://www.youtube.com/c/ChampCarEnduranceSeries/live

Car specs:
1993 Honda Civic DX Chassis
1999 Acura Integra GS-R Drivetrain
Dry Weight: 2,040 lbs
Approx, Wet weight: 2,330lbs (includes driver & fuel)
170 Horsepower @ 7,500 RPM
129 ft/lbs torque @ 5,680 RPM

Champcar is the new name for the chumpcar challenge right? Similar to Lemons racing as well? Take a cheap car and drive it wheel to wheel endurance racing with other people. I've been wanting to do this for a long time now just wish I had people with me to do it in my area :(

Good luck with your race!!

Good luck with your race!!!

Save energy for Sunday race, most of people wear out and there is when appear oportunities for consistent but no-super-fast car/driver.

We started this year with Champs car, we made P1 overall @Hallet.

Hope we can meet once at track.

I race in both series (Lemons and Champ Car) and while I find Lemons super fun weekend, Champs is more competitive, cars are better sort it out, driving is more consistent.

Yes, Champcar=Chumpcar. Uses a points system, each eligible Make/Model is assigned a starting points amount up to 500, each modification adds points. If you are over 500 pts you are added penalty time for each point. Over 1,000 points and complete in the EC class. Classes are sorted by engine displacement, under 1.91 liters = A Class, 1.92-2.40 liters = B Class, 2.41-3.91 = C Class & 3.92 liters or more are in D Class.

Thanks!

Since the car is new (& untested) we are using Saturday as a "test" first, race second. We last raced in 2018 and have a pretty high rate of completing races. The old car had a couple of podiums before the chassis was retired. We swapped the drivetrain into this shell :)

As soon as I saw your post I started looking into it and it will be a lot of work but might have a car built for 2022... I have a chassis and transmission but I need a lot more parts and everything to complete the build.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4accd9adbe.jpg

This is badass - I love that they are doing a live feed on YT.

One of the E46s at the 25 Hours of THunderhill did a live stream on YT from inside the car with radio comms. They had spotters for the whole race so I let it run in the background while I was working it was super cool to listen "Prototype 3 corners back, he'll catch you after T5 - pace looks good."

Have fun guys, good luck!
