Sprintex S5-210 Bearing Service
Has anyone inspected seals or changed the bearing for the Sprintex S5-210's?
My unit was previously owned. I find oil leaking onto the rotors and is it the reason why the intake manifold and intercooler were full of gunk. https://imgur.com/a/BM3Otwh Does anyone have advice or the torque specifications? Thanks https://imgur.com/a/BM3Otwh |
Get with Jon Bond Performance. The Sprintex have a design flaw that he will explain. Bottom line they don’t come with Viton High temp seals for the main front bearing rotor pac.
The proximity of the front main nearing and seals are to close to the front gears in the gearbox. It builds up presure in the gear box and over heats the seals pushing the gear oil past the bearings into the rotor pac and intake ports. That’s what you are seeing in yours. Bond can repair it but it’s a total rebuild. Contact Jon he will explain in details. Hope 5his helps |
He may not even be repairing them anymore. But I am sure if anyone can give you the right advice to try on your own its him and maybe some parts.

You may want to check with Sprintex to see what the cost of just a new blower (no manifold/etc) is Vs. what someone may charge in parts and/or labor to rebuild an old blower.
