Which should I do first?

Sorry if this is redundant or answered somewhere else but I'd like some advice. I wanted to get Tomei UEL headers, a tune, and a delicious tuning flex fuel kit, and I wanted to know which to do first. I also don't know what added expenses I should expect with each of the mods. I'm looking to spend around 1k max for the moment.
I should also mention I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to modifying my car. The previous owner also did a muffler delete and put in a wicked flow exhaust if that makes any difference. I don't want my car to be ridiculously loud with a catless header so would I need to buy a new muffler? I'd like it to be a little louder but not obnoxious. Thanks in advance!

sounds like this is your first time want to do modify car
set your goal first but looks like you want to go FAST mod with having E85?

with $1K, you maybe can do Tomei UEL header and tune(Open Flash Tablet) together
but car will be super loud since you delete muffler already
get extra $500+ to get new exhaust together

I suggest you to get Q300 or Perrin with resonated will give you deep sound with header

if you need to choose one right now, then get Open Flash Tablet first

You can't do header or e85 without a tuning option. And e85 with tune well exceed your budget. So you're left with header and tune. Catless headers and no muffler is gonna be real loud though FYI

i think the first mod anyone should get is read read read then you will find out really how much this will cost you to do anything to these cars your pocket money goes really fast and its a very timely thing soon you will find out that 2k gets you 30hp on e85 with a great tune and hope you got a person who knows what they are doing good luck with your build

My vote is Stock header+ Flex Fuel + tune from CSG and Zach

To keep your budget low you might be able to find someone locally who you could swap the muffler delete for their stock muffler for free. Once you've saved up again and researched what you want then you can go for another exhaust/muffler to better fit your build.

Good News:

You don't need flex fuel to run E85. OFT E85 tune is fine for anything from E60 upwards. Many of us have been running this option for years. Headers and an OFT will come in just over your budget.

Bad News:

Your car will be obnoxiously loud.

More good news: OEM mufflers are cheap as chips.

That's exactly right. If you have ready access to E85 its no problem. It's a great solution if you're on a limited budget, you can add flex fuel later

One would assume he would read the link before filling his car up with E85. I hope so.

I would say a known good brand of header and a quality tune. E85 as well if you have regular, steady access to it, but the header and tune will really wake the car up. It might be all you want for a while. its how the car should have been.
