All Season Three Peak tires
2 Attachment(s)
If anyone was wondering… Michelin Crossclimate 2’s 225/40/18 fits on the premium 18” rims without rubbing 👍 was hard to find the info out there while trying to prep my car as a daily commuter while driving in light snow.

Thanks for the pic.
I'll be getting winters in that size on my car once it arrives. Good to see what it will look like in advance. |
something about sports cars on meaty tires, always looks good.

I just put Cross Climate 2 on my Ascent to replace the less than inspiring Falken OEM tires. So far, the Ascent handles way better on the freeway. Traction in the wet and cold is much improved. I anticipate that the performance in the snow will be better as well. I put Pilot Sport 3+ on my 2017 BRZ so that I could drive in any weather but snow. On the 2022 Limited, I think I will try to stay with the OEM Michelins to see how it goes. When it gets down below the mid 40s, I think I will just defer to the Ascent. I am really curious to hear how the BRZ drives as compared to the OEM tires. Would this be a better choice for a daily driver than a set of winter and a set of summer tires? In my situation, I have an optional ride when the snow flies. But, I did go with all season on my 2017 because it was always my preference to leave the house. Sure the Ascent is practical, but it forces you to have something like a BRZ sitting in the garage next to it.

I was torn between crossclimates and sottozeros. Ended up going with sottozeros figuring a full winter tire should theoretically grip better in winter weather. I know there's a snow event somewhere within striking distance, and am hoping these will be adequate for that. It's crazy how fast the sottozeros sell out though, I guess they don't manufacture too many. I bought them back in october when I saw tire rack and discount tire had already sold out.

I only ever got stuck in the snow once in my lowered FRS.
That was on a day where we were at 8" by the time I drove home and I turned onto an unplowed street. I would have made it if I had kept my momentum but there was an oncoming car I had to stop for. I was just about to rock it out when a passerby gave me a light push and I was free. |

Most of my neighbours would wait until I left in the morning so I would plow a path for their SUVs! |
@Tcoat LOL! Love it

I have the crossclimate 2s on my car (OEM size). No real snow yet this year, but overall they are good tires so far, a little floaty feeling, but very capable in Dry/Wet from 20F to 80F.

I am wondering how does the tire perform on snow & ice? I am trying to fit this tire on my BRZ as well:)
