Tires Options for Rays 57cr
yo, I am new here and new to cars in general so my knowledge is little. I’ve been doing some research to find tires to go with the rays 57cr. Idk what’s good and what’s not. So I am looking for a some daily driving tires, and am in need of a recommendation. Budget is okay, but I don’t want to go over $800. some tires I’ve been told is landsail, fire hawk, BF Goodrich comp 2, and I found some toyo proxey. Are these options nice? What other options can I look at

What size wheels?
Go to www.tirerack.com to see how different tires compare. Best tire depends on your wants/needs/usage envelope. Dry grip, wet grip, cold/snow grip, desired life, feel/handling, noise, comfort, etc. Based on yer location and "daily driving", look in the "Ultra High Performance" or "Max Performance" categories. Maybe "Ultra High Performance All Season" if you even *might* drive somewhere cold/snowy. I wouldn't bother with "Landsail"! Stick with known good major brands. |
Indy 500s are a good budget summer tire. They don't have the best all around performance like the top tier UHP tires. PS4s, ECS.
Road noise and wear will vary too. I got some dirt cheap yoko advan sport V105. Not sure if I trashed them due to toe out but road noise is loud. Much louder than PS4S I ran previously. Need wheel width for tires. Assuming they're 17x9 a 245/40R17 is go to size and fits nicely. |

Firehawk Indy in 245/40/17 is 160 on TR. 245/35/18 is 200 for the same tire. |

Idk tbh, that was the size I was gonna go with some Kansei KNPs but I decided to get rays instead , and thought going with the same size would be nice Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

They come in a +38, +22, +12 offset Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Start here to determine what size/offsets are known to work for wheels: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7535

Also if dragstrip performance is a priority you might think about smaller diameter wheels so you can run taller sidewall tires. |
