Front lip rip

It was only a matter of time before this happened and I don't even have the sti lip installed yet. I made it over the curb, but as you can see there's a piece of rebar sticking out and caught the front ripping it out.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...56af18f61d.jpg

I'm planning to stop a mile in front of the curb and physically get out of the car to check the distance for the first few weeks. Not going to risk it as my previous daily was a WRX (a monster truck).

Just as a reminder, BRZ is not that long, so you don't have to put it all the way on/over a parking block in most parking lots :)

Hope the fix isn't going to be complicated, does it just pop back in place?

It popped back in but did break a push pin or two

Just the pins, or the plastic/eyelets that the pins go into?

Pins are cheap, just buy a "set of 100 Subaru push pins" on Amazon.

You need to stop well before the curbs. The cars are short so don’t worry that you’ll stick out at the back. Stay a foot away from curbs.

I have the STI one on mine and it actually helps prevent this a bit. I have some rash on the underside of the lip and it’s kinda curved so it lifts over what it hits rather than getting stuck.

Lucky you lol. My dealer says they’re not getting the lip until end off January.

Just always back into a spot. You've got a rear view camera at your disposal!
