Gen 2 vs Gen 1 Comparo Video

Hi Guys and Gals, here's a comparison video going over a lot of the aspects of the car - under the car, suspension, interior, engine bay.

Are the strut position the same? Do old strut bars and the master cylinder brace work between the two?

there was a picture in the " '22 on vorshlag scales" that showed a 12-20 top plate on top of the 22 strut.

strut location is slightly different, but same bolt pattern. almost looks like they rotated the previous mount

Coilovers are confirmed to swap from first gen. Looks like quite a few people have installed those coilvers. The MC brace I have not tried yet.

The interesting thing is that the car has a lot of stability and a lot more grip compared to the gen1. Even on the Primacy tires.

Very interesting remark about the longer tube intake manifold. It looks they were trying to optimize more the middle torque curve.

Fingers crossed we can swap over the header also.

We will find out soon.

Just did some camber bolts up front and got an alignment to balance the car out a touch more and video will be up shortly!

How much camber you get with thr bolts? Same as gen1 1.2-1.3*ish? Assuming no camber plates up top.

That's pretty spot on. Evened out the front and rear camber.

Are the swaybars interchangble between the two?
I was curious and was planning to just swap a used Subaru WRX rear sway bar in the brz to get it more tail happy

I believe Perrin confirmed that "standard size and shape" rear bars should fit.
I'd start with the alignment, perhaps some negative front camber is all that's needed to make the car less prone to understeer.
