Fluctuating Voltage Display
 

Hello, I have had my car for about 8 months and just the past couple of days I noticed my voltage display going from 12.5 - 14.2 volts. It only happens when the car is warm and mildly accelerating. Nothing else is unusual and it seems to stay around the 14v mark with the lights on.
Any help appreciated.

I reckon that fluctuating is normal and nothing to worry about.

However, I'm going to send in a specialist @soundman98 and ask him to give his opinion.

Ok thanks guys. Funny it only just started but it did 3-4hrs cruise a week ago. I did a search on google and it sent me here with some answers but the forum search showed nothing?

More optimal to charge while totally off the throttle, coasting or braking, and to eliminate the drag from the alternator when under cruise conditions as much as possible. There's a brain that keeps up with state of charge to ensure the battery stays topped-off.
