Full Tomei Exhaust System
 

Hello all! I am new to this and creating threads so please bear with me. I recently bought the full Tomei 80r exhaust system along with the Tomei joint pipe and UEL headers. I haven't bought the front pipe because the 80mm front pipe wont fit on the automatic transmission. I have an auto and was wanting to go full Tomei. I emailed 86 speed about that issue and they said some people made the 60mm fit with the 80r exhaust system.

Has anyone ever done this? If so, how did you? Is there any difference in the tone/sound of the exhaust? Was there any modifications that had to be done to the exhaust to make the front pipe and 80r fit together?

I have a 60mm front pipe on the 80r because the down pipe from my turbo was 60mm.
I never had an issue with the install, it bolts right on.
I couldn't tell you about noise because my resonator is cracked so its just loud anyways.

Oh okay! Good to know! Some people were telling me to take it to a shop and they might have to do some custom clamps or even weld the front pipe with the 80r just because of the diameter size difference.

I really want to find out if anyone has made the 80mm front pipe fit the auto because I’d love to run full 80mm exhaust!
