Struts that work with Karcepts sway bar
Karcepts just informed me that not all struts will allow the full range of adjustability (beyond hole 2) with their sway bar. This depends on the position of the endlink mounting tab on the strut body.
I have OE Sachs on my 2018 tS, so should not be a problem. The Bilstein B6 looks like all its mounting locations are same as OE. Can someone please confirm? @Racecomp Engineering https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143629 The RCE T2 coilovers are one example that will not work. (There's also the question of whether or not you need to go beyond hole 2, but that's another topic.) |
Bilstein B6/8 and Koni should be direct OEM fit when it comes to the Swaybar mount.
My Megan racing were just barely able to hit the third hole, but it made Brian nervous iirc. He provided an incredible amount of support and information over email, over a year later and I still go back to read it. Currently on Bilstein B16 and need to go remeasure but I have oodles more clearance then the Megan's did so I'm expecting good results as they are designed to be closer to OEM specs, anything that comes with end links and can't use oe is a bad sign. Great bar though, ease of adjustment is real, only minor noise under awkward daily driving situations, 95% great, I've got over 10k miles on mine. Edit: I'm surprised the rce doesn't work, the kw base should be oe like as the bilstein for tuv compliance. Can they at least hit the third hole? |

I swear someone is using RCE T2s with the Karcepts front bar but I definitely could be wrong. - Andrew |

I knew that going in and decided I'd rather have a three adjustment bar I could actually adjust at an event then the bar I had which was next to impossible for me to adjust at an event. |
Thanks, guys. I'm told that the RCE T2s may work if used with the RCE lowering front camber plates, since that would move the strut assembly upward.

If that works, then a shorter end link should also work. |
