I believe most new orders are being estimated past March and up to May is as far as I’ve heard. |
I didn't expect to be able to — the northwest is home for big markups — but last week got MSRP through the Internet sales lead at a Subaru dealer in Portland. When I showed to sign paperwork the first pass had $5,000 ADM tacked on; showed them the email and they removed. Car expected January ish.
**** Hannah did have an unclaimed Premium manual in gray, btw. |
I got mine for msrp-$500 before ttl. Never bought a car this close to msrp and new gen.
|
I paid MSRP which is what all 4 dealers local to Nashville would sell the car for.
|
OP here. Finally just ordered mine. Paid MSRP. No hassle, no haggle. Easy process.

Just ordered a 2022 Subaru BRZ today in Sapphire Blue from Baldwin Motors in Covington, LA. Wasn’t charged a penny over the price shown online. Should be in in December
|
Checked with one of the other dealers with allocation coming in. On the website they had an msrp listed a little bit higher than the normal limited trim so I assumed it has some addons, but the online price listed 500 off. But later when asking about the parts and price they have a dealer package that would be included that costs 2800 and includes such necessities as nitro in the tires and door edge guards.

lmao at charging for nitrogen

Some argue that nitrogen molecules are bigger than normal air molecules and therefore will not leak out as easily. This is not a good argument for two reasons. 1) Earth's atmosphere is 78% nitrogen gas, 21% oxygen gas, and 1% “other” gases. This means you are 78% using nitrogen anyway. 2) The BRZ has a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, so if some oxygen or nitrogen leaks out you will know to add some. Some say nitrogen is less susceptible to pressure changes due to temperature changes. This is not true. Nitrogen loses 1 PSI for every 10 degrees F. Air on the other hand loses the same amount, 1 PSI for every 10 degrees F. This is largely due to the fact that air is 78% nitrogen gas. Again if it gets cold in your area and your tire pressure drops, your car's Tire Pressure Monitoring System will let you know. IMHA, keep your money and use the free tire pumps at the QT gas stations. |
They emailed back asking if they dropped the price on the package would I be interested. I asked how much and they didn't get back to me yet.

Have not actually ordered, but I've been chatting with Wilsonville Subaru in Oregon. They told me they are about $100 off MSRP.

The Hillsboro wanted $5k on top of MSRP, the Portland one didn't take orders at all, the Beaverton one never contacted me back, and I was told by the Wilsonville guys that the Gresham one are a bit stingy with markups too like the Hillsboro one. |

I ordered from Subaru of Portland months ago, and have an order sheet showing MSRP. Said supposed to arrive this month, but probably won't, and am very worried they're going to try to tack on extra charges or services when it does. Fingers crossed... Odd that they told you that they wouldn't take an order, wonder what changed... |
