Radio HU No power NEW MEMBER
 

2013 BRZ Pioneer head unit no power, recently bought with radio not working no power does not power up at all its a scion pioneer unit , i noticed in rear trunk there is a wiring harness that comes thru to trunk that looked like its had an amp wires are cut and bare,
1) did the 13 BRZ Come with an amp in trunk? if so and has been disconnected will this cause no power at radio
2) does anyone have a wiring diagram that troubleshoots this issue
3)fuses under dash #21 fine but was replaced anyway
4) is there a specific fuse under hood for radio also
5) mirrors interior lamp power windows & clock all work(only radio not working)
6) are the heads prone to just go out?
any info of help much appreciated

No amp in the trunk visible, I think even the early ones had the amp under the carpet in the trunk. I do not have 13 wire diagram but someone will come along soon with a link. Did you check with a volt meter to the head unit? My guess would be a head unit issue. I would just find an aftermarket one you like and install it. That will fix your issue unless someone has sone something stupid with the wire harness.
