I haven't seen solid info yet on next-generation twins in Canada.
This is the only builder website I've come across, so I would assume they are taking deposits: https://m.subaruoutaouais.com/build-...ce/Subaru.html
Anyone have news on dealership availability besides "coming soon"?

No official news from camp Toyota yet.

My deposit was accepted but the sales guy (as honest as they come) flat out told me he had no idea. My order was basically a ton of manual overrides to get the deposit into their system to show what I was in line for.

UPDATE: My Toyota dealer called me up to confirm that I've been slotted into the system properly now (as opposed to manual overrides). This means the system is getting updated to receive GR86 orders so pricing is close to being released.

Im in the BRZ camp though, I think it is a bit farther ahead. Pricing was announced in late august.

Regardless of which company you go with, there is likely to be delays since there's still a big chip shortage across the industry. I'd be shocked if anyone up here takes delivery in 2021.

I just want to bump this, the local Toyota dealers around me have taken off the build option for the GR86. It's just totally gone for some reason.

Interesting. It appears that all the Ontario dealership sites (I checked about 10) have dropped the configurator. Didn't check anyplace else.
The Toyota Canada site still has it though.

Maybe all of the currently planned production is allocated so they've stopped taking orders?

Very glad I made the decision to pull the trigger early.

Not yet, but I've been eyeing them...shame you can't get the base car in Neptune here in Canada. I like the lower spec.
