Big Guy Wants to Sit In Your Car [Seattle]
Mods, if this is the wrong place for this, please let me know :)
I'm highly highly considering getting an 86/brz for my next car, but there's one issue: I'm a huge guy at 6'3" and 300+ lbs. I tried checking all dealerships in the area, and they're totally out. If you're in the Seattle area, I was wondering if we could meet up and I can sit in your car? I'd love to get one, but I'm not even sure if I fit in one. Of course, I will pay for dinner (or for lunch, if you're in Seattle proper) as thanks. Thank you! |
I'm in Tacoma but if you're ever in the area I'd be happy to. I do have forced induction so if you're hoping to go for a ride I'd hate to oversell the power. lol

To give you some idea, Matt Farah from smoking tire fits in these cars and he's a big guy. You'd still want to sit in one yourself to see if you can deal with it yourself though.

I'm 6' 4" 250lbs and I can fit comfortably, granted with the seat all the way back. 38w x 34l pant size, LT torso. With a helmet for AutoX I have to scrunch down a little but I make it work.
[Edit: Added 38w & 34l] |
@Ultramaroon can tell you a bit about things you can change to be more comfortable.

I'm six-five and absolutely love wearing mine, as @NoHaveMSG says. With folks our size, it comes down to proportions. If you're all torso, you're screwed. I have to slouch a bit when wearing a helmet but otherwise ok. The telescopic steering column is a cruel joke just like reclining seats in coach on a plane. Fortunately, @949 Racing offers an elegant steering column extension. It's the hot ticket.

Pretty sure Jeremy Clarkson drove the 86 on a Top Gear episode and he's about six-five? Possibly around 250 ish lbs? He looked pretty comfortable driving it and it put a big smile on his face.
