Heyoooo, looks like a simple fuse pull will kill ASC.

Not necessary, see bottom line below:

Configurator also says both trims have heated seats. I don’t think it’s reliable yet.

The configurator is all messed up. It says that the Limited doesn't have disc brakes or Traction Control.

Also, the diagrams show that the Premium only has 6 speakers and no amp but the Limited shows 8 speakers and an amp. So obviously the configurator is wrong on that and many other things.

Gotcha, I was specifically just looking for that. Didn't look at too much else.

True it can be turned off by a tech, but just remember the dealer isn't obligated to do that for free. Up to them if they want to provide that service as a courtesy. I'm sure most would, but if not, I'm sure most people will want to know what they can unplug.

@geraldjust mentioned on FB that he found that ASC can be turned off through the infortaintment system.
Curious how that works, and why the owner's manual says one needs to go to the dealership.

Maybe @Dezoris can cover this in his upcoming BRZ review.

@Dezoris can you also please check if "pedal dance" still works? Let us know if you need a refresher on how to dance it.

Sorry forgot to mention that it depends on trim level I know some documents said that it will be a feature but I'm not exactly sure since all the infotainment/telematics did not point to the process of how to do it but it was printed in the service files.

Oh also you'll just you'll be able to pull this fuse to turn it off too if you want. haven't seen any DTC for it yet.

trippinbillies40 09-25-2021 10:59 AM

Spoiler alert: it's not accessible from infotainment. Will need to go in through SSM or pull a fuse/unplug.

Is there any end-user software for this? FreeSSM appears to be only good for Subies through 2009.

No it's dealer service only.

Well there is this....

Of course it's overkill for simply turning off the enhancement speaker if you can just pull a fuse.

I know it may be a lot to ask, but is there a 2022 Shop manual that I can download?
I always like to have the manuals on all my cars because I do most repairs/maintenance on my own.
