Because I know the first thing people will try to do is to switch their exhaust I'll post this here to show you how to change it for the new car.

Heyoooo, looks like a simple fuse pull will kill ASC.

Maintenance manual!
In particular (at least for me...) the chapter on this mysterious FA24 engine. Maybe can get tidbits of info from the drawings and cutaways and photos and understand is it a bored out FA20 or a de-turboed Ascent FA24....

Thanks. Now I have something to do. But what about tomorrow?

I need my fun car. I should have never gotten rid of my Miata 22 years ago or my Legacy GT 10 years ago. Damn it! I never thought I would be wishing so hard for December when it wasn't related to Christmas and I wasn't 10. Ha.

NEW VEHICLE BREAK-IN
The performance and long life of your Subaru are dependent on how you handle and care for your Subaru while it is new.
Follow these instructions during the first 1,000 miles:
• Do not race the engine.
• Do not allow the engine speed to exceed 4,000 rpm except in an emergency.
• Do not drive at one consistent engine or vehicle speed for a long time, either fast or slow.
• Avoid starting suddenly and rapid acceleration, except in an emergency.
• Avoid hard braking, except in an emergency.
ENGINE OIL
Use 0W-20 synthetic, with one of the following specifications:
• API classification SN with the words “RESOURCE CONSERVING”or SN PLUS with the words “RESOURCE CONSERVING”.
• ILSAC GF-5, which can be identified with the ILSAC certification mark (Starburst mark).
ENGINE OIL CAPACITY
5.3 US quarts (during oil and filter change).
When the level is at the "low" mark, add approximately 1.1 quarts of engine oil in through the filler cap to bring the oil level to the “full” mark. For filler cap location see the engine compartment on

Any chance of getting the audio owners manual?

I am dying to know more about the system. I keep reading upgraded in the Limited and 8 instead of 6 speakers. I am guessing the door speakers are component in the Limited, which gives you the extra 2 speakers. And I am really interested in whether you get an amp and whether we can easily add a subwoofer.

Yoshoobaroo 09-16-2021 12:34 PM

Is there a fuse chart? I Ctrl+F’d both the OM and quick start guide but didn’t get anything.

ayau 09-16-2021 12:35 PM

Does the BRZ Limited add a subwoofer? Same for the GR86 Premium? Really hope they don't include a subwoofer as I view that as unnecessary weight.
