Suspension bouncing on long right hander
My car was doing something odd on track in my last session. There's a long med/high speed right hander with a lot of camber and many times in that corner my car did a sort of rhythmic bouning when I was around 33% throttle. This in the second half of the lightbulb at NJMP lightning, for those familiar.
Is this porpoising? Anything I can do to address? Thanks! 2013 FRS Tein Flex Z coilovers set to about 66% of the way to full firm 1" lower than stock Stage 2 tune and bolt ons |
Could it be a blown damper?

+1 play with the damper knobs and see if you can find an improvement.
Assuming there's nothing bound up or worn out on the suspension. |
Do you have a datalog?

I do get a front suspension clunk when reversing out of the driveway with the wheel turned after the car sits for a while but it's been doing that for a long time. I'll check if anything has any play. |
I specifically need a datalog to help you. Otherwise, we're just guessing.
Any clunking is not normal. |
How are your axles looking? Any play in the CV joints when you shake the axle from the middle of the shaft?
|
Would you characterize the bouncing as more of "left to right" or "front to back"?

Thanks to all that tried to help. Going full firm on the dampers fixed it. The clunk was fixed when I greased the end link fitting
