SBD500X Turbo Gasket Sizing Search
 

As said in the title, looking for someone savvy with turbo sizing to either help explain or guide me to another thread that help covers different turbo sizing and how that relates to gasket sizes.

Hope this isn't an over done question as I've spent the day researching but can't come to a solid answer.

I'm planning to do some preventative maintenance that requires me removing the whole turbo kit and with that I would prefer replacing all gaskets that I remove. While the SBD500X is a custom in house turbo built by SBD, I understand that it closely resembles or even shares the same housing as a GT3076R as quoted here before. I'm trying to preorder all the needed gaskets before needing to remove everything since my window for this is small to do this.

So bottom line, is there any tall-tell signs I can see that'll tell me what size gaskets I need, specially for the turbine exit to down pipe and from headers to turbine, or how I can differentiate what a T2/3/4 etc etc size turbo looks like.

I'd ask SBD, if it is a custom in house built turbo/kit they should know the sizes of these things.

if you cant find anything just when you pull your turbo kit off, measure the gaskets.

Unfortunately, I have already tried contacting them with no response but 'll go ahead and try again as that seems to be the only answer at this point.

I'll probably just end up getting different size gaskets beforehand to try to alleviate any hiccups and update this thread with the answer as it seems not many people have the exact sizing for the SBD500X kit.

Ask them in this group. SBD discontinued their kits due to the EPA crack down. Their supplier for the kit is still very active in that group and fulfill requests. I believe the guy who runs the factory is named Elma. He is in that group.
