Exhaust fit on new GR86 from old?
I wonder if the old 86’s exhaust system setup will fit on the new GR86. So I can move most of my mods over.

But it sounds like coilovers will be able to be swapped over so it's not out of the realm of possibility, although hangar locations will probably be different too |
Highly doubtful as there were minor differences in the exhausts of pre face lift and post face lift first gens that affected fitment of the exhaust so it's logical to assume there will be even more differences on the next gen as bumper cutouts for the tips will most likely be off

Axle backs don't fit because of the different mating situation with the silencer, so mid pipes probably won't fit either. You'd probably need a hammer, sawzall and welder to transfer a catback

Best thing is to just return to stock, sell car, buy new twin, sell aftermarket parts that don’t fit. Keep those you like that fit. This maximizes your chance of getting some money back from your mods.
For me using my car as DD with a long commute I have no plans to do all that work. But I will reserve judgement until I drive one. And mine would be AT for the commute. So I am thinking a few of these will be available in a few years for nice prices. |
