To admins: please add a subforum for topics common across GR86 and BRZ

Currently the "2nd Gens: GR86 and BRZ" subforum
has two subsubforums:
1) "GR86 General Topics (2nd Gen 2022+ Toyota 86)"
2) "BRZ Second-Gen (2022+) -- General Topics"

I noticed that many of the threads in those two subsubforums discuss both cars.
As a result, some of those discussions are duplicated, triplicated, or even more.

I think that separate GR86/BRZ subforum are still useful for brand-specific topics
(such as availability announcements, pricing, etc.; the GR86 ducktail, bumpers, some interior parts, infortainment systems, etc.),
but then there are certainly topics that are not specific to any brand
(e.g. FA24, most of the mechanical stuff, comparisons between models).

Can we please add another subsubforum, along the lines of
"Common topics between GR86 and BRZ Second-Gen"
and move applicable threads there?

See past discussion on https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=146209

Can you also add a subforum for all COVID and vaccination/anti-vaccination related threads and group them all together, moving the existing ones all into that one subforum......

.......and place it ALL THE WAY DOWN towards the bottom of the front page?

Pinging this thread.
As first owners have finally started taking delivery of their 2022 BRZ's, I'm sure there will be many discoveries that would be useful for future 2022 GR 86 owners too, and having a place for common threads would be useful.

Or you just look in both places...

And end up having five threads that discuss the same topic.

We have subforums? I just hit the new posts button and read what I want.

Or eliminate all together....

I would be in favor of eliminating the split altogether. These cars are almost exactly the same, 99% of technical topics apply to both.

Sounds like an alternative fact.

Seconded

Or create a subforum about the new BRZ's aluminum knuckles and rear sway bar mounting method, which are really the only functional differences.

they're just following the precedent set with the 1st gen... the 1st gen wasn't any different other than the suspension tweaks.

but even the .org has the separation.

this forum doesn't move all that fast, so i just hit the 'new posts' button every time.

Question: Is this site owned by the same entity who owns the major 2nd-generation forum?

Because that is the only conclusion that makes any sense, beyond sheer negligence or stupidity, for this site owner's ceding of the field without a fight in the battle for the second-generation owner/shopper's eyeballs. Second-gen cars have been out there in owners' garages for over half a year now. The owner/admin here should have duplicated the forum/subforum tree used for the first generation twins for the second generation cars months ago if they wanted to build up the same levels of use and loyalty with those owners/shoppers. No doubt largely due to their failure to do so, second-gen owners and interested parties are instead flocking by the hundreds to the new forum which has had this type of articulated structure for months now and is being extensively used.
