Good detailing shop in Calgary?
 

Is it better to have the dealership rust proof and 3M wrap my car or way cheaper to take it elsewhere? Anyone able to recommend a good shop in town. Anyone opticoat?

just an FYI, for 3M i initially did just the bikini cut, hood, bumper, fenders. The paint is not great on these cars, ive since had the pillars and the roof done, now im having FULL hood and fenders done after seeing the clear coat have tiny chips on the hood near the windshield and there was a decent chip on the pillar. So I would recommend you to get the full deal. i wish i did from the get go! search around on the forum about the paint issues

the orange fr-s in the links above is mine! i got it done by carlos about a week ago, optiguarded and everything, i would defiantly recommend him for detailing!

As for rust proof and 3M i had it done by the dealership as a package deal with my extended warranty.

Cool! Im waiting on mine from Southpointe. Should be here in time for the snow :( But is cost for rust proofing and 3M film much more expensive at the dealer? If it is a small difference I will just get them to do it before I pick the car up. Maybe even undercoating as well if it is worth it. Got at least a couple of months to decide. Already sent an email to Carlos about being referred to him.

As for 3M and tint .. I've heard good stuff about Calgary auto spa and cooltint

I got my car from South Pointe and asked they not even unwrap the car as the scratches/buff marks are much harder to fix.

I called around, and went with Xpel Ultimate (self healing) with full hood and normal panels from Travis. He exterior detailed/waxed the car and then did the Xpel, for about the same price as the shops would do just partial kit.
