LeevanF's OEM+ Build

Sharing with you a build with the goal of making it more functional true to the car's essence of a lightweight, fun, no-frills sports car. The modifications were done little by little, with intervals of almost 6 months in between for me to be able to feel and tell the differences.

Engine:
Drop In Filter - Nice induction note.
OFT Stg2 with Custom Tune - Stage one smoothed out the powerband a bit, but mostly helped with responsiveness. Stage 2 maximized the header capability.
Toyota OEM 4.56 Final Drive - Does what is expected, generally 10% higher RPM at any range/speed. Helps with faster acceleration at lower speeds and power more available to tap.

Exhaust:
Tomei UEL Header - Made a significant difference in power, especially at the torque dip. In city driving, I don't need to downshift as often especially in 3rd/4th to accelerate. On the highway, I no longer need to double-downshift when I find the need to suddenly accelerate. But overall, the it helped the car with more pulling-power.

Fujitsubo Authorize R Type S - Top-tier quality with gorgeous welds. Beautiful exhaust note with without being obnoxious. Perfect for long-drives. The exhaust also sounds at its best at 3-4K RPM which is perfect for the city.

Suspension/Wheel/Tire/Others
TWS-T66F 17x8 - 14.8 lbs only per wheel, one of the lightest of its class. Combined with Hankook Ventus V12s at stock size, it took of about 8+lbs of weight per corner. The car feels a more nimble, and lightly treads rough roads. While grip has been significantly improved without being overly sticky. More roll is a given but stock is sufficient for me especially for city roads.
Grimmspeed Hood Struts
Verus Throttle Spacer - I really got this just to make stop and go traffic easier. lol

I stuck with OEM Suspension because it is actually sufficient for me out of the factory. I am not skilled enough in race driving nor do I find anything lacking in terms of current dynamics. OEM Brakes as well because it is sufficient for my driving needs.

Overall, the car behaves completely different already from a stock unit. Power is much more available regardless of where in the powerband. The added power from the UEL, Final Drive, and Tune makes the car always feel immediate. Definitely not FAST, but it ticks all the boxes one would expect from this chassis and price point. The stock suspension and lightweight wheels/tires give ample comfort and grip for my needs. Since this car is an AT, when driving in Manual Mode or Sport Mode, the last few traces of "economy car" vanishes. It really encourages you to get going, because every millimeter of input regardless where, rewards you with some form of stronger feedback versus stock - all within reasonable and reliable means!
