Traction, ABS and CE lights on

Hello guys..

I found similar cases to mine in the forum but never found exact conditions.

I have a 2016 BRZ and the ABS, CE and traction lights came on along with the speedometer not working.
This happend after I got my tyres changed and did an alignment. When I turn the car off and on again, all lights turn off except CE and the speedometer works again. However, after few miles all light come back on.
I took it to a local Subaru specialist shop and we scanned the ECU and cleared the codes after checking and cleaning all of the speed sensors. Unfortunately, lights came back after around 20 miles.
I am running a higher wall tyers in the rear, could this be the problem?
I doubt it because it had the same size tyres prior to the current ones and everything was good for around 6000 miles.

Any Idea?

My guess is that the tire shop messed up one of your wheel speed sensors. Maybe one of the people who have done it on purpose to disable every driver aid for the track could shed more light on it

yep, likely a wheel speed sensor issue.

but i would walk around and verify that they gave you 4 of the same size tires, because if you only did 2 tires, or they messed up the sizing on one, it would cause a similar issue.

when you had the alignment done, did they give you a print-out of the before and after specs?

if the alignment was significantly altered, that could also affect it. especially in the steering, as there's a steering angle sensor that must also be recalibrated if significant changes are made.

Perhaps they did a “complimentary” tire rotation and didn’t tell you.

What are your F/R tire sizes? Previous setup might have been on the limit for different f/r diameters, could be new full-tread-depth tires might be just over the limit. If you could try swapping on same-diameter tires, see if that fixes it...
