Really good color, do not show well in this video. I think needs a brighter day for this one.

Overall, good pallet choice. They could’ve more colors always, but it’s good enough for now.

Yeah the colour is a tough one to try to show off properly.
Because it could look like "bleh its..grey" sometimes to "damn thats an awesome shade of grey" other times.

I do wish theres more fun colours though, not just grey/white/black/silver/red/blue

But no one wants to really stand out.

Tom’s orange looks great, but I think I would be uncomfortable driving a Lamborghini color.

A army green also would be nice.

Pretty sure the orange on Tom's car is the 3M burnt orange. Looks identical to the wrap on our WRX.

I wanted to get a black BRZ and wrap it in this but got denied by my wife who apparently has laid sole claim to this color in our household. :iono:

Meh, I'd love that orange.

Maybe 4.5 years ago before I got my car I would've said "hell no!" lol.

But man, at least where I live? So many CWP/SWP twins everywhere. We had a running gag a couple years back that every time we held a South Bay meet there'd be like 10-15 white twins and then just a handful combined of the remaining colors.

I love white and don't mind that I chose it, it shows off the lines well and looks fantastic in the light and dark.

But still, it winds up being a bit more boring to me when it's parked in a row of same-colored cars lol.

Got that. I went with the WRB because I grew seeing that color on Subaru and when I decided buying one, the color was already chosen (I did not find when bought the used 18).

I do not see many twins here, so I do not have the issue of having same color cars. The Tom’s orange (3m burnt according to trippin) was one that I liked, but I think I would go with a military green if I had the choice for something different.

Thanks - that is the best comparison we've seen, and the white balance looks spot on.

Anyone else notice the marked discontinuity in colour between the Sapphire Blue hood and the front bumper? The hood has a more purple tint. It's no doubt caused by the substrate difference, aluminum vs. plastic. Not nice.

The Magnetite Grey looks just terrific here in direct sun, gorgeous.

Anyone else notice the marked discontinuity in colour between the Sapphire Blue hood and adjacent areas of the body? The hood has a more purple tint, which is weird because some of these adjacent areas lie on the same plane and are getting the same external light, so it's not an artefact of differential lighting. The difference is most marked with the front bumper, and there we have a substrate difference, aluminum vs. plastic. Not nice.

The Sapphire Blue really does change shade quite a bit just by the angle you're looking at it. It had more depth than I'm used to seeing in some other Subaru colors. Like a blurple version of the red on the ND's. Very different color depending on light and angle.

I've edited my comment because on closer inspection the difference exists primarily between the plastic bumper and the aluminum hood. This isn't being generated here by lighting or angle alone as the difference is marked right at the adjacent edges where the lighting and angle are identical, it definitely has to be a substrate issue. Hopefully it only shows up under certain narrow lighting conditions or angles of view.

I don't see that in the video. Definitely did not notice anything in person. And I have a feeling this will be one of the most popular colors just because of the depth it has.

Certainly evident on my calibrated monitor. It could be caused by differences in the paint's reflectivity on different substrates, reflecting more light when on aluminum than plastic. If you don't see it in real life, that's great:
