Drone Mobile

Anyone have any experience with http://www.dronemobile.com/ - my wife's Genesis Coupe has a BlueLink system which lets you do remote start, track, slow down, engine shut, etc from a smartphone. This thing looks very similar. The remote start feature is nice for getting the heater or AC at a nice temp by the time you get into the car, but the tracking features would pay for itself in the long run with insurance premium savings.

If anyone has experience with this (or something similar), especially on our car, I'd love to hear about it.

Been using mine since June and love it. My insurance only went down $7/month so not quite covering the tracking fee. Haven't turned on that feature yet but will someday.

Did you have it professionally installed or DIY? How much did it end up costing you, if you don't mind me asking?

Had it done by Compustar. My car was their guinea pig. You need a Compustar alarm/start plus the Drone.

After installing the drone mobile did your smartkey features still work ?

Also, does the car turn off when you approach the car ? or does it keep running even when you open the door ?

thanks
