FR-S OE Front License Plate Mount Installation
 

I am trying to install the OE Toyota front license plate mount for my 2015 FR-S. (I live in TX, and want to avoid tickets.)

I don't like the look of the Perrin tow hook mount, and I don't want to mount the plate lower (entirely within the grill) as this impedes radiator airflow.

The Toyota instructions imply that there are 2 J-nuts behind the face of the bumper. If I line up the license plate mount, mark the hole locations, and drill through the bumper, I should find the J-nuts.

Can anyone confirm that the FR-S front bumper has these J-nuts on the backside of the bumper? Thank you very much.

No. The J-nuts (2) are listed on the parts in the envelope supplied.

They drill 3/4 inch holes and clip the J-nuts in through the holes to the fascia.

Ew. Just ew.
