Pipe above the Overpipe

I removed the overpipe last night and while I was fiddling with it I noticed this pipe just sticking out. Is it supposed to be like that or it got pulled out of somewhere? I don't recall ever feeling like I unplugged something.

I think it's supposed to be like that. I forgot what it's called.

It might be the AC defrosting vent and meant to be like that.
