See what the dealership will do about it. Paint defects should fall under warranty

Doesn't look like rust. No sign of any material that could have been on the surface and caused it. Most likely there was contaminates on the car when it was painted. Rare but it happens. It should 100% be covered by warranty.

That looks exactly like on my 14 yr old vehicle when I don’t get tree sap off within a few days it kind of raises & swells up the clear. Do you park it under trees specially evergreens?
|
That is what happens after the big white stickers that protect the paint come off. I worked at a Toyota dealer and saw it ALL the time. Moisture absorbs in the paint because it has nowhere to go. Its NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. After a couple hot days, it will evaporate out. DONT TRY TO BUFF IT OR FIX IT. Just let it sit, it will go away.

I agree with the white wrap theory, that wrap also leaves the adhesive residue, goo gone will take it off if that is what it is...

I don’t think that’s what it is because I live in Florida and it’s always ripping hot so if it was it should have evaporated already Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Wouldn't this mean it could easily flake off from a chip that hits that exact area later on? That plus it doesn't seem like the car was just picked up from the dealership... OP has put 4.1k miles on it already |

Yea this was my concern too, I’m taking it to the dealer on 6/2 to get it looked at Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

This things just happen I guess. Actually my current white BRZ has something somewhat similar to OP issue on roof but it appears to be clear coat only and much smaller in size. |
