Fuel Gauge

Good day I am looking for information reagarding the fuel gauge, I am aware the fuel gauge uses some sensors from the engine to the ECU to calculate fuel usage, could anyone tell me what sensors are used for this?

I think it just estimates it from injector open time

I read a few times it uses the MPG(100/km) gauge, which uses the fuel pressure sensor but am actually looking for someone that actually knows. thanks though i have heard that it could be using the injector info aswell
