Greddy evo 3 exhaust modification

Hi,

I recently went from a muffler delete to a GReddy Evo 3 catback and I want to make it a little bit louder. Do you guys think that if I take off both mufflers and weld one back up the mid pipe it will make a difference? Or not since the gases will still all go through a muffler? There is currently a resonator in that mid pipe compared to stock.

I felt like without mufflers it was a bit too obnoxious, but with this muffler and my UEL header, I can no longer hear the boxer rumble, I miss it :c

Has anyone tried this?

Thank you in advance!

Just remove resonator if you want loud or just punch out the mufflers. My best advise is to just sell the greddy and get a single exit for loud.

Seriously, the Greddy is a great exhaust, don't ruin it. Sell it and get a Tomei or something.

What front pipe are you using? Maybe get a catless front pipe

Dont get me wrong, I love the Greddy, even though it drones and sounds really deep. But I miss that rumble from the time I had my UEL Catless and Muffler delete. I will try removing the resonator, maybe that's what has be reducing the boxer rumble.

I have stock front pipe. I dont want to spend more on the exhaust. Im just trying to figure the perfect sound note. I can weld, so cutting the resonator and welding a piece of pipe seems easy and inexpensive. I can always go back and weld the resonator if needed.

I will look into used front pipe if anything comes up.

Thank you
