Knockoff coil packs

Has anyone tried non-oem coil packs? Do they have a shorter lifespan than the OEM parts?
Normally an OEM part is the path I would take here but as fast as they go out I'm wondering if having a NEW knockoff is better than a used OEM part in this case.

Ebay Coilpacks

Even cheaper

I dunno about those cheap ones. I am running an NGK coil pack in my car that was about 65 bucks I think. It has been good for quite a few years.

Look for used OEM ones. Got 2 for 90$ shipped. Why are you changing them? unless your throwing codes or are really high milage no need to change. My 2 cents

I use to replace oem coilpacks often, like every 6 to 8 ish track days. Till I bought some eBay ones...forgot what they are but it's blue. 40+ days so far still no issues. This is on a 2013.

May have to try these.

I had the idea to switch to the 2015+ coils using the ice fab pigtails or buying the parts separately. Would still have to add the price of coils on top of these connectors.

Were you able to find these for the 2013-2014? Ebay only lists the 2015+

Oh yea, I recall now. It was the wrong connector, so I texted the guy and he sent me the ones with the correct connector for a 2013 FRS. Maybe text the ebay seller and see what he can do.

Seller: we-want-great-feedback
Price paid for 4: $170

Off the Line Performance just recently released their OTL Street Series Ignition Coils that I would call an OEM+ replacement. They're not going to be as cheap as the ebay ones, but they're less expensive than the OEM ones.

They've sent me a set that I'm going to test out on my track car. They're supposed to output 10% more power as well.

Used my last replacement coil at the track this past weekend. So I found the listing for the 2013-2014 coils and ordered a set. Same seller as dreamwonder, they sent a PM to confirm the connector type. Price was $172+shipping.

At Spring Nats we used whatever generic part we could get from Napa to replace a failing coil. It was less than $120 after tax. No idea how good the part is but it appears to generate spark at the appropriate time.

Well its been about 4000 miles and the coil from cylinder 1 is failing. I've contacted the seller so we will see what happens.

These were the blue benchmark coils mentioned above?

I don't see them on the site. I have killed my second coil same one cylinder 1. How have they held up? Thinking of just getting OEM one and wrap some gold tape to help keep some heat out
