Fuel starvation, verus flap?

I got fuel starvation at 7/8 tank at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (chicane/chicane) couple of weekends ago, coming out of T6/T7 (6 is a heavily banked 180 degree left-hander that blends into 7, also left). Is the Verus flappy door the preferred cheap-and-easy fix? Palmer coming up June 19/20, it's the only place I've had fuel starvation before, and that was at just under 1/2-tank. With apparently grippier tires this year (Nankang CR-1) I'd like to be able to run at 1/2-tank, or at least 3/4 without running into this issue after extended turn 1-2 left-hander...

It helps a lot, especially on an NA car. I used to get fuel starve on this long decreasing radius left, now I don't at even low fuel levels.

worked for me like a charm. NA engine, starving on long left quick turn @msRH.

check filling full full the tank if you properly reseal the tank.

As another data point, I just received my Verus Fuel Door. I too had fuel starvation issues while less than 3/4 tank on 245/40/17 A052's. I'm honestly surprised more people don't have issues, but I guess it's a function of G-force which may only be achievable on certain tracks/setups. Will update here with my results.

It helps but won't fix your issues. At one of my local tracks without the flap I'd get fuel cut at 1/2 a tank or less on 200tw tires, with the flap I can go down to about 1/3rd of a tank before fuel starve. For me, that's worth it since it means I can do 2x20min sessions before refueling instead of needing to top off after every session.

If it allows me to keep on trucking to 1/2, 5/8, or even 3/4 of a tank, it'll be worth it vs. starvation at 7/8...

Maybe replace oem pump with a stronger aftermarket pump. How old is the oem pump. Your in there might as well just in case you decided to goto more power or boost

it's a 2017, not too worried about the fuel pump. I'd be more likely to get a new 2.4 and go from there rather than boost the 2.0, I think... Any case I'll put other possible upgrades until I needs em.

The issue is the fuel runs out of the fuel basket on left turns where the fuel pump is housed. The only real 100% fix is to go to a swirl pot.
