which JR supercharger kit for 325ish HP?

Hi, So I was struggling to find a thread where someone asked this before (although I'm sure it has been asked) but I've got a 2017 86 that in the future I'm hoping to build out to around 325ish horsepower on 93 octane (although as impossible as it may be I'd love to do on 91) and was wondering which Jackson Racing supercharger kit would be more ideal for getting to those numbers? I was planning to go the supercharger route vs turbo because it seems like a better for the car's feel and seems to be a bit better on the engine long term (from poking around online.) it seems like both the c30 and c38 are capale off making those numbers so I guess wondering which will be better for engine health, as I plan to still daily this car or at least drive extensively over the next years.

I do plan on building out the engine internals, as I've read about issues regarding the rods and bearings and stuff up at that HP to be a concern to me for daily driving, and then obviously would upgrade the fuel pump and port injectors as recommended to run the high boost pulley Jackson racing offers, unless there is a non-e85 method to get that 300+ power without using that pulley to boost the psi

any help/advice regarding my plans would be much appreciated!

C38

Thanks for the response! If you don't mind me asking why do you recommend the c38 over the c30?

Greater overhead vs the C30

I’ll ask the dumb question, why 325 wheel?

I'm currently running JRSC C38 with the HBP and 93 octane. Full catless exhaust and 700cc DW injectors. Tuned by Bill at DT he recommended new injectors but fuel pump is not necessary if staying on pump gas, at least 93. Never dynoed but a solid estimate is about 310 whp in comparison to wrxs and an fbo st I pulled on. Imo 325 on pump gas on a c38 is either not doable or not within a safe enough margin to tune to.

Its my understanding that they both make the same power with the SBP and HBP on 93 or E85. The difference is the C38 can handle the RS pulley.

I love the car but as most agree it needs more power. I sort of arrived at the 325 number (although honestly leaning more towards like 315, 325 is max) cause I'd like to be competitive/faster than things like a focus RS or Civic type R. And I know there is the argument that if I wanted it to be like one of those cars I should have bought one of those, but since I first saw a 86 on the road back in 2017 I fell in love with the design of the car. Its honestly oone of my favorite car designs of all time, and I want its power to reflect how it looks (cue the "Is that the new supra?" comments Ive got lol)

Doing the level of work mentioned above I'm also hoping to use as a learning tool for me, because I have a dream project of putting a 5.0 coyote in a e36 chassis, and I feel like this will be a great starting place for me I guess.

Speaking from the perspective of someone who has super charged, turbo charged, and had a fully built motor, even 300 whp is a LOT in this car. I don’t have much experience with the Jackson racing chargers (my s/c was a sprintex), but I’d aim for 300 and be happy. Just my $0.02

Your goal is easily achievable on E85 with either, but that power range on pump gas with a supercharger is a little sketchy for knock purposes.
