yeah, JDL bash bar

Lots of air flowing straight over the top of the oil cooler, or something like that. Need some ducting between it and the rear of the grill.

Yeah, Im gonna have to readjust and sit the Cooler just right on the Bash bar, to clear as much of the intercooler & be all open still

It seems operating temp for these oils with 0W-20 is around 100*C or 212*F. This is to ensure you are boiling off any condensation in the motor. I do not plan on adding an oil cooler with my Edelbrock, initially, until I see high temps on normal driving (I do not track). I will be adding a PCV catch-can, though.

It seems like everyone screaming oil coolers are parroting or reps looking to sell them.

Hello from Mill Creek over here! I recently installed my Emtron gauge and finally got my oil pressure sensor working... I been pretty much cruising at around 180+ F with an oil cooler that opens at around that temp. I think I broke 200 F when I was hooning around but so far no problems...

Oil pressure was within 20-60 psi range. Will drive more and see how the data looks.

Have to mention that I am using 5w40 oil and with a rebuilt motor. Also am kinda scared to drive that right now since my stupid retainers that sit on the rocker arm sheered off (And I don't know how!)...

Will do, want to have proper wording as this is the first time they have seen this happening and not trying to put blame on them or anything.

They have been responsive and apologizing for this incident.

Edit: Upon further discussion, they would request to wait to share until I pulled the motor out and installed the new pieces. We need to verify if it was installation error or if there's something else weird going on. Will be working with them and post updates

Yeah definitely- it could have nothing to do with the retainer itself and is only a symptom of something else having dislodged it, who knows.
In the interest of full disclosure, I decided against using the retainers for this reason- if they're real this easy to install, I figured that it could potentially just be something else bouncing around and decided to wait it out. I'm hoping I'm far from right and that this is a freak accident

For sure. The reason I got these retainer kit was because my rocker arm fell and flung itself out of the valve cover a few months after the engine came back... fully rebuilt. This retainer kit was to solve that issue and now this happened.

They are sending me a new set so I will get them put on and disclose all the info when all is said and done.

That`s a high coolant temp if you were normal driving.

Stop and go traffic for about 70% of the drive today

I suggest picking up a trac box or some other way to force the fans full on.
