P0560 - System Voltage Malfunction
All fixed now, the car was missing the EFI B+ fuse for whatever reason.
A couple of months ago my 2017 86 died after about an hour or two of sitting. I jump started it and since then the CEL (p0560) has been on. I took it to a Toyota dealership and they replaced the battery, and that was about it. They said they wanted to put a new computer in it costing me $3,000, so I did the reasonable thing and took my car back. The only thing different that I have noticed since the incident is when downshifting (automatic) the car slowly revs back up and slows way down, compared to before the car died, it would simply just rev up and continue going the same speed, was very smooth. I have tested the alternator and battery and voltage is normal. I have been looking online and the only thing I can come up with is ECM or PCM issues. I will be taking it to a local shop soon, but was wondering if anyone has had this issue before and how they fixed it. |

Since you have replaced the battery, the next thing I'd suggest you take a careful look at is the alternator and have it checked out. After you replaced the battery, did the p0560 code go away and has it stayed away? Good luck. |

I am currently still stuck with the p0560 code, its the same code from the start and cant seem to shake it. |
The circuit for that dtc is literally one wire with two fuses on it. Since the car is working we can assume the MAIN fuse is ok, that leaves the EFI B+ fuse.

It's entirely possible that your car may have died for an unknown reason and that a jump starting mishap blew it, the dealer might have taken it out to run tests with a fuse saver (handheld circuit breaker at the end of a long extension) and when faced with being unable to replicate the issue that blew it,said f*ck it, thrown an ecm at it and just didnt replace the blown fuse. if it blows again out of nowhere you'll know you've got a real issue. |
Haha or you know stealership...
