Stuttering and exhaust pop when accelerating

Lately my car when accelerating will stutter and pop when it stutters, I had a cel for a fuel injector but it dissapeared and has not come back on and the issue is getting worse any ideas?

You have a bad fuel injector.

The code should still be stored after the CEL is out, run to the local parts store that does code reads (autozone) and see if they can find any if you don't have a reader yourself.

Hi ya, DJjoey0812 - :)

Welp, I checked with my buddy Bubba and here is what he suggests:

* Fill up with some premium gas from a station other than the one you usually use.

* Add some fuel injector cleaner.

* Do an Italian tune up

* Purchase an inexpensive code reader and read any code(s).

OR ...... go with the humfrz method - take the car into the shop and ask them to fix it.

;)

Be careful, this happened to me and while my DI ecu kept working it eventually fried something and I had a big shitfest replacing that and a coil pack. Exact same presentation. CEL came on, went away, and then I went WOT and car went into limp home mode.
