Window clank help

A few months ago I started noticing my driver's side window would make a clunking/clanking noise whenever I would drive over a bump.
The last time I had the car serviced I told them about the noise and they replaced the glass stabilizer (part no SU003-01616) under warranty. After I got it back the clanking noise went away for a few weeks, but now it's starting to come back and it's driving me CRAZY!

I've searched the forums and although I have found similar posts, none seem to be exactly the issue I am dealing with.
Ultramaroon posted a useful PDF in this > thread < and I'm using one of his pictures for reference.

As far as I can tell the noise is coming from the top left corner of the door, circled in blue. I've read that bolts #4 and #5 are used for adjusting the lateral position of the window. My suspicion is that one of these bolts has loosened over time and is causing the window to make the awful clanking noise. Also, from what I have read they are supposed to use loctite, so maybe they forgot to apply some and that what is causing the loosening of the bolt?

I'm considering going back to the dealership to have them take another look. Ideally it should be covered under warranty like the glass stabilizer, but my anxious mind fears that it wont be. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might resolve this issue? As stated before, the noise is driving me insane.

Thanks in advance

When raising up the window all the way into the hard stops, do you hear one click, or two? Look at those before/after clips and notice how before it goes cli-click because it hits the rear stop first? It's really subtle but with the tape, you can see the window rotate clockwise as the front keeps going up.

Either way, the mechanic was a slacker throwing parts at it when it only needed adjustment. He may even have been careful about maintaining the same adjustment after replacing the regulator. :(

I'd just say take it back to the dealer and make sure to state that it's exhibiting the exact same problem you brought it in for the first time. It's not a separate warranty issue, it's the same issue as before that they didn't fix properly.

Thanks for the quick response. It seems you're the go-to person when it comes to window repair on this forum.

I only hear one click, so it seems that there are no issues with the horizontal alignment.

Yeah that's probably the right thing to do. But I figured if I could find the solution I could fix it later on if the problem keeps persisting.

I used to get a loud "pop" after the window had been up in the heat. The regulator jammed in the window track because the hard stops weren't matched to the angle the regulator wanted.

Yeah. Take it back and ask them to try again carefully. Toyota mechs aren't used to working with frameless windows. These need a special touch.

You know what they say back in the old country "he who knows how to fix the most things ... has busted the most things".
