Help with Sub install
Hello everyone!
This is my first post on here, sorry if someone else has answered this elsewhere, i tried to look on the forum for a similar post but had no luck, anyways... I recently installed a kenwood DMX4707S on my 2017 BRZ and made the speakers sound so much better, like really, the difference was extremely noticeable and I'm happy about these speakers, they aren't the best but wow they aren't as bad as I thought, so my next thing I wanted to install is a sub, and I am wondering how should I go about this as I have no idea where to start, so please shed some light on my uneducated brain. Thanks guys! |
very common question yo, probably gets asked every week...use search on this site or google..
small spoon.. you will need to attach power wire to 12 v under hood, fish it through into your cabin and to the trunk ...if you're lucky and your stock headunit has RCAs (or you got an aftermarket one with them) then connect separate amp to power + RCAs ...if no RCAs, you need to buy wiring harness to plug into stock harness and stock amp and to connect some output wires into your separate amp + power from 12 v (video below) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__6FuXulfIo or if you have money to burn and you don't mind the sound of those oem audio plus systems, they are pretty much as plug and play as possible but IMO they are pretty overpriced and don't hit that hard. |
