DV Carbon fiber hood painted?!
 

Hey guys and gals of this form. I wanted to see if anyone has ever painted their Seibon carbon fiber hood the same color as their car. I know these hoods are awesome and most people do buy them to keep them carbon fiber and have that carbon fiber look. I absolutely love it but ive had mine for about 4 years now and sadly with the amount of sun and snow she has just about turned completely white. Ive tried to restore it but no can do. I was considering possibly painting the same color of the car but not many people have it so i wanted to see if there are any people on here that do. LMK! i posted the hood in the thread too!

definitely talk to a body shop, if the clear coat has deteriorated enough to turn powered white, it will not be paintable in it's current state--new paint might just flake off as the clearcoat deteriorates further, will need to see first about what can be done to bring it to a solid paintable state.

but this is one of my long term plans for my own car. i want a style that only seibon offers, and don't want the tacked-on carbon fiber look so many others are ok with.

How much snow has it seen being in Florida? I'm concerned.
