Fitment help
So, I run 215/35/18 tires on 18*9.5+22 wheels usually but, put 225/35/18 on the rear two b/c of a tire leak.
What I’ve read online is that the front is a 23’’ tire diameter and now the rears 25’’. I figure I should raise the front coilovers then, to even it out. My question is should I get an alignment after or is it a small enough adjustment to where I can raise the front to match rear and call it a day? Or is doing this pointless... Any help is appreciated |
You should put the same diameter tires on the front. Your wheel speed sensors are going to lose their minds!

Yeah the ride height here is not the problem, the differing tire diameter is. This platform likes a square setup. Also how much of a stretch is a 215 tire on a 9.5in rim?

Also, 215/35-18 sidewall height is 215*0.35 and 225/35-18 sidewall height is 225*0.35 so the difference is 10*0.35 or 3.5mm, so height difference is 7mm which is a long way from 2" (51mm). Should be running 40 aspect ratio, not 35, to be near stock diameter. Also, Tire Rack shows only one tire available in both these sizes, are you sure these are the sizes you run? Anyway, the one tire they have has 23.9" for 215/35-18 and 24.2" for 225/35-18. 0.3" difference in diameter, not 2". Quote:
