Subaru Brz Wont start

hey so im having some trouble with my brz and was wondering if anyone else has the same problem. After doing a couple donuts my car dies out and throws a u0100 code. When it happen in the past i would have to depress the clutch and the car would burble and sound as if its dieing but then it would come back. This time my car wont start at all and i still have the same code. Anybody can help me out please?

Sounds like what happened with my BRZ a few weeks ago. Except I attempted to start the car while both mufflers were covered in a snow bank. After continuously trying to turn the car over. It wouldn't go. Turns out I flooded the engine. Didn't get any codes just the no start. Pulled the plugs and cleaned them up. All good to go now.

Hello decalls and welcome to our forum. -

First off, stop doing donuts - :slap: - it's hard on your car.

Second off, check out this reference:

https://www.solopcms.com/blog/common...0100-code-fix/

Third off, wait for someone to come along that knows what they are talking about to help you out - ;)

u0100 is a loss of communication. i would check your grounds, as well as fuses.

are there any mods to the car?

Seems like I remember reading something about fuel starvation from the design of the fuel tank during extreme lateral Gs. There's an insert you can install that prevents it.

That wouldn't cause the U0100, but it might explain why it quit. You could have multiple things going on.

Happens on sustained left turns. Do donuts to the right and you should be good.

but, but, but, if he wound it up too tight, how is he going to get it unwound if his car won't start?

Clearly to fix it it needs to be pushed in circles the opposite direction until it starts properly

Guys! Guys!

You're overthinking it.

It just means he wound his clock spring too tight in the wrong direction.

The easiest way to fix that is to take off the steering wheel and unspool the clock spring so it can be set back to normal.

Should DST be taken into consideration?
