No clear sched given by all of them, Toyota says still no unit, Subaru provided status of slot and forecast of the units that will arrive monthly, Ford Mustang from time to time offers available unit unfortunately my friend didn't like it.
One observation, they prefer/favor either in-house or bank financing, so don't tell them that you will get it in cash.

My 86 arrived after 6 months waiting (Orange color)
 

finally my unit arrived! orange color!. it took 6 months thru bank financing. and also it was named 2018 model. i saw it in the paper.

@alltimel0w, wala ren actually yung 2012-2016 models.. we just put a relay, you can either order it sa casa for around 900 or 1k or visit Autokozmetix in Ortigas Home Depot, 200-300 lang ata sa kanila.. sa kanila ako nagpalagay before.. contact mo lang din muna if they have just to be sure

Please check page 173 of the manual. Me myself haven't seen this if it works.

@alltimel0w, ang nakakatawa diyan, when i was getting my unit, pinagmamalaki pa nila na meron DRL.. meron nga kaso di gumagana dahil walang relay hehe

ok sir. ano po ba dapat ko expect sa drl? pag open po ba ng engine mag light up na or pag release po ng handbrake tsaka iilaw?

@alltimel0w, for the 86, after turning on the engine, pag disengage ng handbrake or basta di naka handbrake, iilaw na siya.. for the BRZ, i dont know lang how it works

Good Day! I would just like to ask, if I can already complain directly to Toyota Manila Bay (owner of Toyota Marikina) regarding my car purchase last Feb 28. This is because I donot get any clear update from the dealership where I bought my 86 in full payment, not to mention the additional cash for the price increase.

It's heading towards its 5th month, and yet they still cannot give me any clear update on the status. Puro na lang "sir update po ng admin namin yung Toyota", nakakarindi na. So i'm planning to formally complain at their headquarters. :mad0259:

Got my unit 2013, love it from the moment i drove it home from the dealership until now going on 5 yrs strong no minor/major issues. If your going to mod it i suggest go slow and pick your parts and do your research, there are plenty of vendors and manufacturers out there, the parts support for this platform is outrageous that you could easily get lost in the build. Good luck.

Ask ko lang, mga gaano nyo katagal hinintay yung unit niyo? Feb 28 ako nagbayad, then march 9 na-indent order. Aware naman ako sa 3-6 months, pero hanggang ngayon na malapit na yung 6th month (september 9), wala pa rin silang update.

Havent been active on FB, anybody running built engine? If so which shop did the build?

several shops can rebuild an engine but i'd suggest to get in touch with Christopher Co.. he has done several already and an 86 owner so he knows the car well.. look him up in FB na lang and contact him

just keeping the engine stock, most i'd probably do is to get the Tom's supercharger but it's too expensive lol

Did that ever went into production? I thought that was a myth like the TRD supercharger kit that never went into production haha


Well if it indeed is in production i would imagine costing not only an arm and a leg but probably one of our kidneys as well.

haha yup! the Tom's supercharger is in production, costs around 600-700k yen thats why i cant pull the trigger is i still need to find out if there wont be any fitment issues with a LHD car.. hopefully wala

yup thats what i was about to tell you nga baka theres fitment issues with lhd, tapos you spent around 400k PHP already.


I hope this thread will be revived, i think forums is still the best avenue for sharing information about our cars with fellow car enthusiasts.
