Functional front fender vents

Did a search didn't find anything. Has anyone thought about doing this or done it? I really like the look but form without function annoys me alittle.

Yeah, it looks nice but I'd like to think everything on the BRZ has some sort of functional purpose yanno? I know you can pop off the entire vent, but I think it would require some cutting work into the engine bay in order to be functional.

There are some pictures in the forum here somewhere that shows the trim piece removed.

Maybe someone with the tools and know how will eventually give it a go.

Yeah, you'll definitely have to cut to get those side vents functional. I'm sure someone will do it but I'm not that brave soul! :D

I would at least like them to look real.

You only have to cut the fenders behind the vents. If you look under the hood, the inner fenders are already cut to use the fender wells for heat extraction.

I've been kicking around the idea of filling in the 'vent' area, removing the 86 logo and sanding down the raised area, and then wrapping it in black.

Hmm...

When I get some money :-( I'll be ordering a set of the BRZ side grill
(#91112CA060EN & #91112CA060EN(Dark Gray)) and cut the fake grill out and replace it with mesh
