Coils on the way. too much space in there

Luke.Cariveau 08-12-2012 03:45 PM

Forgot to say,
Front is semi-concave and rear is deep-concave.

Black on Black. Nice looks good.
I'm a lil bias having CBS as well.
Need side profile pics when low comes.

As far as I know the changing the "disk" just moves the entire wheel in or out.
Being that what I think "disk" is. Simply put the thickness of the center of the wheel.
Changing the "disk" would make the material on the inside of the wheel, that gets matted to the rotor thinner or thicker.
Just a guess but, basically a built in spacer (or reverse). Dynamically changing offset.
^Correct me if I'm wrong.
All that just to ask you. > Do you know the measured difference between each type of concave(on the same width and offset wheel)? Flat, Semi and Deep?

Thanks for sharing.

I do not but here is the spec sheet off of the work website.

The rears had to be custom drilled but it was easy and work did it on site.

Great choice. :happy0180:

Any straight on shots to show poke and concave?

Luke.Cariveau 08-12-2012 06:38 PM

Let me take some, Ill post them in a minute.

Luke.Cariveau 08-12-2012 06:52 PM

Here's some pictures of the poke/concave.
Not the best photographer but you can basically tell.

Thank you! Excellent pics.
The rear fitment looks perfect to me. Is the front a little tucked?
How do you like the staggered fitment?

Luke.Cariveau 08-12-2012 11:30 PM

The front is flush. The staggered is nice, I wanted a little wider in the rear for a more aggressive look. since i'm not a track guy and haven't pushed the vehicle to its limits i have no real opinion on the fitment other than its looks.

track_warrior 08-13-2012 05:27 AM

Hate to ruin your fun but ive got the exact same setup but once you lower the front and ad a bit of - camber you are going to wish you would have gone with a different offset. Ill take a picture of how my front sits but i feel its pushed way inside a spacer could help.

dori. 08-13-2012 08:47 AM

love the concavity.

just a minor nitpick: there are small differences between the CR Kai and CR Kiwami. Basically v1 and v2 of the same wheel.

Oh no not at all, I'm adding coil-overs to drop it slightly. Not enough to drastically change the vehicle but something to help minimize that wheel gap by about 50%

digital_assassin 08-13-2012 11:43 AM

Rears will be spot on with a drop. Looks great. Post pics once you get the coilovers. Mind saying which coilovers you are going with?

D1cker 08-13-2012 11:45 AM

Why aren't you guys running the +38 fronts? They'll fit and the car wont have such a strange looking stagger in the rear.

With not much experience in the Subaru community or Subaru cars, I took the expertise of a few close friends in the choosing of the offsets and the staggered look. I don't think it looks strange, but to each his own. I enjoy the wider/more sunk look in the rear.

DarrenDriven 08-15-2012 03:28 AM

Here are a couple other topics with nearly identical setups in different colors:

Oh yeah, car looks great by the way!

Adding you to the NW Owners List!

DC-FRS 08-23-2012 03:18 PM

I realllllly want these wheels! Id go deep concave on all 4 though. is this possible without having to do any work? Also, which is the best offset? (not for looks but for ease of installing.) Thanks for anyone who can help.
