Its the negative of a sticker that has been removed. I myself, have a sticker with bananas on it. They are both Mario Kart references.

I figured that's what it was. Is that there from the factory? Seems so random, and I've never heard about it or seen it until just recently.

Pretty common for people to put a sticker there for manual cars since that button does nothing. Ejecto-seato is another common one :D
